Leslie Leinwand: Marsico Endowed Chair

Congratulations to Leslie Leinwand, Ph.D., who is the recipient of a Marsico Endowed Chair of Excellence. The busy Dr. Leiwand is professor and former chair (1995-2006) of molecular, cell and developmental biology at CU Boulder and of cardiology at CU Health Science Center, directs the CU Initiative in Molecular Biotechnology, was a co-founder of Myogen, Inc. (who was recently acquired by Gilead for approximately $2.2B), is one of a handful of prestigious Howard Hughes Medical Institute investigators, an elected fellow of the American Association for the Advancements of Science, winner of National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute Merit, and American Heart Association awards.
