AlphaSniffer Launches New Look

AlphaSniffer, LLC (Boulder) was founded in 2003 by Dr. Misha Plam. AlphaSniffer has developed a highly-sensitive biosensor for the detection of trace amounts (picograms) of bacteria, viruses, proteins, nucleic acids, antibodies and other biological and chemical agents in real-time and with minimal human intervention. Dr. Plam is the former founder, CEO, President and Chairman of the Board of Sievers Instruments. Sievers successfully exited to Ionics (now GE) for $21M. AlphaSniffer through SBIR grants and angels has raised approximately $2.7M and intends to focus efforts upon a series A financing.

More information on the development of their novel and proprietary Surface Plasmon Resonance-enhanced Common Path Interferometer (SPR-CPI) system instrument platform for the detection of molecular interactions may be found (here) on their beautiful new website.
