Drop And Give Me 50!

Just returned from the second annual biobootcamp and despite the rigor of countless pushups, valuation exercises, running laps and running through commercialization and regulatory strategies it was an incredible experience.

Hosted by the Colorado BioScience Association, the Fitzsimons Redevelopment Authority, the University of Colorado Bard Center for Entrepreneurship and, Holland & Hart, the two-day event brought together VC’s, Angels, bio-entrepreneurs representing companies of all different stages, academics and support service representatives. An incredible amount of valuable insight and information was communicated and I foresee this annual event continuing to grow by leaps and bounds in concert with the entire Colorado life science community.

The sense of cooperation and camaraderie was evident as a few alumni from the inaugural bootcamp served as panel members this year and detailed their successes in science and raising capital over the previous twelve months.

My hats off to Vicki Jennings, Denise Brown, Sandy Bracken, Evan Husney and Mike Weiner, well done! But please next year…no more pushups.
